launching a new media project against depression, anxiety and PTSD

Hi and welcome to our new project!

James here, I am so glad that you have landed on this short blog as I feel it is pretty important to understanding our concept and why we have embarked on this project.

Life can be amazing, we are cruising along and enjoying every moment. We have been very successful in most of the things that we tried out and the path of happiness seems set. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, music and people can be heard in the distance, we are sitting back and chilling.

All of a sudden, an uncomfortable feeling starts to sap all of the air out of your lungs, you get this dark feeling deep down in your stomach and sadness falls over you. You can not understand what just happened, no matter how much you try. Little things feel overwhelming, you start to feel unorganized and extremely tired. Your body starts to feel areas of pain, you notice that you bruise easier than normal, your motivation is sapped, you want to switch of your phone and any contact from the outside world and you want to sleep. This was my journey into depression and anxiety which ended up with being burnt out.

So, how have I managed to get it under control?

The truth is, it is always lurking in the background and waiting to pop its head up above the pit with a big smile on its face. A smile to say, hey James, been a while but I thought that I would pop buy to say hi. This is where my knowledge and experience starts to kick in and this is what I want to share with you. Lets fight this unwelcome friend together through our online community.

One last thing!

Part of being depressed is the tendency to lock yourself away, so that is also partly why I have launched this project online. You can join in from the comfort and safety of your home. We will chat, discuss, tour beautiful places and even cook a simple dish together, all online.
